[Tutorial] How I do my cosplay makeup~

At last!

I can post my first make-up tutorial!

This is requested by Rara - thank you for the suggestion!

FYI, I'm not a professional makeup artist nor knowledgeable enough to make this tutorial - I make mistakes, too :)

This is the least I can do to give some references / useful tips to those who want to do their cosplay make up ヾ(≧∇≦)ゞ
(you can also use this tutorial for casual makeup - as I'm applying natural cosplay character, Akiyama Mio from K-On!)

WARNING

Pics flood ヾ(´▽`*;)ゝ"

Step 1

Always start off with a clean face.
Put on your favorite moisturizer to make your skin texture better and give some layer between your skin and the makeup's chemicals (。・o・)ノノ

My favorite moisturizers would be Etude House Aloe Moistfull Soothing Lotion and Soothing Cream :3

I also applied Lioele Secret Pore Rich Balm to cover my pore and fine lines..
I don't have any fine lines! or do I? (;゚□゚)

Anyway, this cream really worth its price ヾ(。・_・)
It covers my pores perfectly and the oil control is so unbelievable!
I always have oil problems on my T-zone but with this cream, worry not!w
Last up to 8-10 hours - from my very own experience (•̪ . •̪)
.
.
.
After applying moisturizer & the primer ( ゚▽゚)/

Step 2

For those who need super flawless - doll-like face, use a concealer to cover up those flaws; acnes, redness, darkcircles.
I have bad redness on my nose ಠ_ಠ /sob
.
.
.
Make Up For Ever Full Cover
Best concealer imho!
It's 1 tone lighter than my actual skintone, but it's just perfectly what I need !
The coverage is high, yet blends very well.
My MUA friend said you can also use this as foundie :D

Result :
My face looks brighter, no? (゚、゚)
Very happy to have this concealer *hearts floating <3
.
.
.

Step 3

The real deal's here - BB Cream and Foundation
.
.
.
Yes, I use both of them!
I mix the BB Cream with the Foundie - learned from MUFE's MUA
My BB Cream coverage is low but gives very nice tone while my Foundie coverage is high but I bought the wrong swatch so.. - mixed = perfecto! ( ̄0 ̄;)ハ( ̄、 ̄;)
I used The Skin Food Mushroom BB Cream and MUFE HD Foundation
(for daily use I prefer the Mushroom one - lighter and it gives actual skincare effects)
.
.
.
For the powder I use Palgantong's Loose Powder
A little does so many <3

Result :

Step 4

TIme to do the lips and eyes!
Most people are having troubles applying liquid eyeliner, including me.
So I apply the eyeliner with the pencil type first then the liquid type.
It gives more precision and easier to do :3

What I use:
Estee Lauder Black Eyeliner
and Etude House Dr.Lash Liner (Brown)
Givenchy #9 Eyeliner - for lower water line

I make wings adapted from Mio's sharp eyes
Also applied it on the lower eyeline, though I only applied it halfway to define bigger eyes :3

For the lips I used The Body Shop Lip Butter - nude color and moist!ww

Here's the result

Step 5

Brush those lashes
I use 2 mascaras - Estee Lauder Double Wear mascara (meant for defining longer lashes)

and Estee Lauder Projectionist (meant for defining volume)

Before applying the Projectionist, I curl the lashes using TouchBeauty Lash Curler.
Starting to love this curler recently, so easy to use hurr~

Don't forget to apply the mascara to your lower lashes too :3

Final Step

False Lashes
Take your favorite lashes, measure and cut it, put the glue on, and you are ready to go!
My favorite eyelash glue : Dolly Wink Eye Lash Glue (white)
will become transparent (in small amount obviously harharhar~)

I bought the 50 pairs eyelashes + applicator + eyelid glue from the bornprettystore.com
out of the 5 box, 1 box contains bad lashes :(
The lashes are flat - not curvy like the others

Result:

Now you can add some contouring or highlighting (which I didn't do) :p
Put on your wig and go camwhoring lar! lol

Hope this tutorial helps (either the products or tips)
